I admit, I love ginseng. I love to eat it. I love to put it
on my skin. I love it in my hair. I even have my own little ginseng plant
living its best ginseng life in my kitchen. Ginseng has long been a staple in
Asian cuisine and Chinese medicine. It’s known for its beautifying properties
too. Personally, I feel like my skin takes on a wonderful glow whenever I use
products that list ginseng in its ingredients. Ginseng extract or oil usually works the best
for me. Here are my favorite products that I reach for every day:
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream-Beautifully lightweight, this
cream has a bouncy texture. My skin leans on the drier side, and I find this
works best as a night cream. I haven’t tried to use it before applying makeup,
but I’ve read that some experience pilling.
Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Toner-First, this toner has such a
beautiful color! It looks like a beautiful herbal tea in the bottle. I use this
as the first step of my routine after I was my face.
The Face Shop Yehwadam Heavenly Ginseng Face Wash-Speaking
of washing my face, I absolutely love this gentle foaming cleanser. It has a
wonderful ginseng scent and it leaves my skin so smooth after washing. I
received this in a gift set and I haven’t been able to track down a full size,
but it may exist!
The Face Shop Yehwadam Heavenly Ginseng Serum-Such a
luxurious serum with a light herbal scent. Depending on my mood, I use this and
the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng and Snail Mucin serum.
Bonus: Sulwhassoo Overnight Revitalizing Mask-I use this one
about once a week. It’s a bit pricey so I try to make it last as long as
possible! I really enjoy using Sulwhasoo products, but the price can be heart
attack inducing. This mask works just as well as their popular moisturizers for
only a fraction of the price.
